About Us

Stafford Fire Department, Inc. is located in the Town of Stafford, County of Genesee, State of New York and between the two large metropolitan Cities of Buffalo and Rochester. We cover approximately 32 square miles and a population of 2,700 homes and businesses. There are both State and Federal highways running through our district. The Kiwanis Club of Batavia, New York, donated a Hurst Tool (extraction tool) to our department. This enables our department to cover the eastern half of the county's motor vehicle accidents.

Our membership consists of approximately 230 social and active members. We participate in the Genesee County Mutual Aid Program and respond to calls for help from the other departments in our area. We have a very active EMS/Rescue Squad and the fire departments property is a designated Landing Zone for the Mercy Flight, our local Air Ambulance.

The Stafford Fire Department, Inc. is made up of men and women who donate their time to protect and save lives 24 hours a day. In order to do this, the Fire Department has come up with fundraisers like the corvette raffle to provide this protection. The Fire Department has a contract with the town of Stafford to provide Fire/Rescue services with a minimal Fire Tax Assessment per thousand valuation. As an appreciation when this fundraiser begins every year the towns people roll up their sleeves and pitch in to work side by side with the firefighters to make this raffle a wonderful success
